ちきゅう座とは
年々深刻化する地球環境破壊や、グローバル金融資本の支配と情報技術の高度化に伴う貧富の極端な拡大、 人間の精神そのものの解体現象など、その典型といえるでしょう。９．１１以降の世界の現実も、歴史の逆行、 文明そのものの再野蛮化の様相を呈しています。日本の支配層は、こうした現実に追随し、アメリカとの運命共同体化を推進しております。 国内に目を向けても、2011年3月11日の東京電力の福島第一原子力発電所の事故をめぐり、正しい情報が伝えられず、住民無視の施策、無策が横行しております。そうした動向に警鐘を鳴らすべきマス・メディアも、事態の本質や真実を伝えず、表面的な情報提供に終始しています。
こうした現状に対処するためには、現代の世界と日本の直面している問題の本質に迫る情報と 言説を出来るだけ多くの人が共有することが何より大切かと考えます。私たちはそのための方策として、 真に重要な情報の提供や、 私たちの生活実感や研究・実践活動に基づく自由な現状批判や問題提起、相互討論のための共同の場を構築し、サイト上に一般に報道されていない海外のメディア情報や、内外の研究者や思想家、実践家の現状分析や問題提起、 さらには著書、論文の紹介などを掲載することによって読者の参考に供し、時に討論を挑発する役割を果たしたいと考えております。
情報自体は既に無数に氾濫しておりますし、内外の識者のご高説も色々提供されております。 しかし、全ての根幹は、私たち自身が自らの生活や実践活動、研究成果に即した知的省察の成果を相互に交換・批判しあうことを通じて、 私たちの直面している問題の真実に迫るintelligence情報を共有する点にあると考えています。

Dear Sir／Madam,
We want to request you to cooperate for launching our website “Chikyu-za(The Earth Theatre):global eye−the new media network”! Today, our world is confronted with unprecedented, fundamental dilemmas. The destructive worsening of the natural environment, the extreme widening of the disparity in wealth, the collapse of the human mind itself would be the typical examples. The reality of the world after 9／11 is starting to take on a serious aspects of historical regression and re-barbarianization. The ruling class in Japan is following this trend and propelling to form a fatal continuity with the United States.
The mass media, which should ring an alarm to such tendencies, are not reporting the substance of the circumstances, only to provide superficial information.
To cope with such situations, we consider that nothing is more important than sharing information and discourse that reveals the essence of the problems that Japan and our world are facing now with as many people as possible. As a measure for this, we have decided to launch a website named “Chikyu-za” to provide information that is truly important, to establish a shared space for mutual discussion, free criticism and problem−posing that are based on our daily life, academic studies or political activities. We wish to provide references to the readers and occasionally provoke debates by regularly updating information from foreign media that is not broadcasted in Japan, analyses and problem−posing by scholars, philosophers and activists from home and abroad, and to present publications and academic papers.
The information itself is already overflowing and opinions from the wise are already provided here and there. However, we believe that the basis is in our sharing the information that reveals the truths of the problems we are facing through exchanging and mutually criticizing the outcome of our intellectual insights that are founded on our daily life, political activities and academic studies.

情報時代といわれています。しかし貴方は現在のメディア情報に満足していますか？
このサイトは、今の世界や日本が極めて危うい方向に進んでいるという認識の下に、それぞれの分野の専門家や実践家の眼を通じた、確かな情報、問題の本質に迫る分析などを提供し、また共同の討論の場を作ることを志しています。重ねてのアクセスを期待しています。
編集方針
１） 現代の世界と日本の直面している本質的な問題に関わる知的省察を踏まえたコメント、批判、問題提起、建設的提案などを主とする。
２) 様々な分野で活動する方々と研究者や、ジャーナリストなどの実践・研究成果の相互交換の場の提供を意図する。
３）言論は、思想・信条に関わりなく、全て自由とする。ただし、特定の政治的・宗教的・商業的宣伝文や、それに類するものと、個人的中傷、妨害文などは編集委員会の権限において排除する。
４）編集についての最終的な権限は、編集委員会に属する。

ちきゅう座の顧問に五氏を迎える
ちきゅう座では会員総会のご承認を得て、顧問制を導入することになりました。どのような現状認識に基づいてどなたにお願いしたら良いか慎重審議の結果、研究者と実践家や生活者とメディア関係者との連携・交流をより深めることが、ちきゅう座の意図する公共空間の充実のために不可欠であるとの観点から、次の五氏に顧問になっていただきました。

ちきゅう座のイデーの実現のため、いろいろご指導・ご助言いただけることと存じます。
会員や一般読者の方々におかれましても顧問制導入の趣旨をご理解いただき、日本の思想風土の風通しを良くし、自由なオピニオンの交流の環を拡げることに投稿その他の形で積極的にご協力いただければ幸いです。
